Emmanuel Transfer to KFH ICU

Our ICU transitions today; our pride, Emmanuel, triple valve, walked to the KFH ICU. He will need a few more days of intensive observation, only one more drip to wean by tomorrow. Getting solid food now, he seems bewildered by all the attention by this incredibly compassionate team. Somehow, it is appropriate to have E.D. , KFH ICU RN, transfer and accept him-- he has been a wonderful addition to the ICU working with us. ( sigh .........we are delighted but getting a little sad......ICU closing is a BIG step)

  1. Wow! Cannot believe this is the same patient we had friday night on 8 drips. It's almost a miracle!

  2. What an amazing job every single ICU nurse has done to save 15 people this year.. Despite all the challenges they rose and surpassed every hurdle.

Also, a HUGE shout out to Naomi, Dave & Bonnie, who made the ICU environment one of complete confidence and calmness for all our patients and ICU staff. A true testament of professionalism at it's very VERY best in an incredible setting

    Truly amazing.

Tonite was the night, we as an ICU team, finally got to celebrate the lives we saved. We were finally all off together and headed out to a great place called Select, thanks to some networking & schmoozing by Bonnie to get the manager to take our reservation. As one of our ICU nurses was missing, but in our minds, Sue Gabs continued her journey across Africa to do more amazing work. Go Gabby!!!

Thank you to every person involved in this work.

We made Miracles a reality together!!!

    Go TEAM HEART!!!!!
