One week!

Wow it doesn't seem like it's time to go back to Rwanda for my second trip, but I leave one week from today. This time next week I will be on my way to Brussels and then on to Rwanda. I'm excited for all the great and life changing things we have in store for us and our patients. And also excited for the warmer weather! While it isn't as cold in Durham, NC as it is in Boston, it is still a lot colder than Rwanda!
Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers! Your support means everything to us and we couldn't do it without y'all!

  1. Samantha is returning for her second year as part of our "trifecta" --our cardiac perfusion group. Her calm presence and willingness to do what ever it takes, makes her a perfect person to travel with us on a trip such as this. You will later meet Chris S., her colleague and Gio. Chris has worked in Ghana and other places much like Rwanda, and Gio brings a organizational aspect that it is time for--buying supplies direct to ship to Rwanda!! Without this trio, we could not do what we do-they are absolutely critical to the success in the theater. The support of this trio to help us pack and ship the perfusion supplies--a work in progress is much much appreciated. "If perfusion is not happy, no one is happy"--

We miss Chris D. Mike and Amy from previous years but hope they can cycle back in periodically. It is a lot to ask to give up your vacation and find funding for every single year...
Ceeya--not really anonymous, but nothing else in the "comment as" really works:-)
